Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, after his team threw away a two goal lead to lose 2 – 3 to Manchester United walked up to the mastermind of the comeback, Paul Pogba, and said some words to him.
He has now revealed what he said to the Frenchman who bagged a brace in the Manchester derby.
Guardiola speaking to the press after the match said he was congratulating Pogba on his match winning performance.
“I went to congratulate him on the result,” Guardiola said, offering no more insight into the exchange.
Following the derby defeat, Guardiola is now faced with the task of picking up his players ahead of Tuesday’s crucial Champions League quarter final second leg against Liverpool as City look to overturn a 3 – 0 deficit.
He said: “Of course we are sad for ourselves for our fans, but we have still 13 points and goal difference.
“We have to win two more games and after the game on Tuesday we are going to focus on the Premier league to try as quick as possible to get it.
“Of course we wanted to win today. I am not going to deny that, but we know exactly which team we played.
