Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has reacted to the Champions League semifinal draw, wherein his side was pitted against Roma, and in the most dramatic way too.
Klopp who led his team to an unprecedented double win over inform Manchester City in the quarterfinal said “Thank God not Bayern, thank God not Real Madrid, yippee Roma”, while talking about his feelings about the draw.
Roma qualified by staging a stunning fightback against Barcelona on Wednesday, scoring three times without conceding against a Lionel Messi led side.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com immediately after confirmation of the tie, Klopp said: “Because I knew I’d have to say something after it, I tried to think about what I feel, but it was not that I thought ‘Thank God not Bayern, thank God not Real Madrid, yippee Roma’ or the other way around.
“It is just the draw and I know it is very exciting, but it is good because the most important news is we are still in the competition. Whichever opponent we would have got, I would have said there is a chance because it is football – so there is a chance against Roma.
